AD FCS&CA suspended

Srinagar, Mar 12: The Assistant Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Baramulla was today suspended in connection with the missing of several truckloads of rice in the North Kashmir Baramulla district last year.
Seven truckloads of rice were dispatched from Baramulla to Hygam area for distribution among people in Circle-D in December last year but they failed to reach the destination and went missing.
Panduarang K Pole, Secretary to the Government today issued an order of suspension.
“Pending enquiry into the matter and as reported by Director, FCS&CA Kashmir about the misappropriation/ missing of truck loads to the tune of 633 (Quintals) of rice and further shortage/ missing of food against of 362 (Quintals) of rice at Baramulla, it is hereby ordered that Mushtaq Ahmad Wani. Incharge Assistant Director Baramulla is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect in order to ensure fair investigation in the matter,” the order said.
It added that during the period of suspension, the officer shall remain attached in the Directorate of FCS&CA Kashmir.
