SRINAGAR, June 17: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar today flew to Bandipora’s Tulail Valley in the Gurez sector and donated Rs 1 crore for the construction of a school there.
Upon reaching Tulail which is situated near the Line of Control (LoC) around noon, he visited the Neeru village and interacted with the jawans and officers of the 115 Battalion of BSF posted in the Village. Click here to watch video
Akshay Kumar, in presence of the BSF officers, donated the amount of Rs 1 crore for the construction of the school so that children living in the village can get a quality education at a place that is remote and remains inaccessible.
He was seen dancing with the BSF jawans during an interactive meeting with them. “The meeting was aimed at boosting the morale of the jawans posted there; he danced with the jawans,” the officials said.
The officials said that the construction of the school in the area will bring about a great change in the sphere education in the entire area.
