KISHTWAR, Dec 20: BJP leaders from Kishtwar Sunil Sharma and Thakur Ravi Kumar today urged the Government to ensure protection of the religious places of minorities in the district as some vested elements were trying to foment trouble in the district.
In a joint statement issued here, today they said that some vested elements were trying to foment trouble in the district by making the religious places of minorities their target which will not be allowed. They urged the authorities to act and punish the guilty under law who were responsible for desecration of temple at Chanjar Marwah in the district.
Thakur Ravi Singh said there is a lot of resentment among the minorities in the district and in Dachan area the minorities on the call of BJP and SDS observed a total bandh today.
