ACIC RISE Association receives Rs 2 crore grant to promote startups

JAMMU, July 15: ACIC RISE Association, CGC Landran has been awarded a grant of Rs 2 crore by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India (GoI), under the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS).
The fund would enable ACIC RISE to provide financial support to startups being incubated under its mentorship. The track record of ACIC RISE Association in providing good incubation services to its startups by consistently helping entrepreneurs nurture, build and scale up their ventures played a major role in the association receiving this valuable grant. SISFS is one of the many successful schemes implemented by the Government of India to encourage and support startups in India. It thus provides financial assistance to early-stage startups with the Seed Fund being disbursed to eligible startups through eligible incubators across India.
Currently supporting 38 startups, ACIC RISE Association, CGC Landran, continues to promote entrepreneurship in the region by regularly organising events like ideathons, interactive workshops and awareness sessions for both male and female entrepreneurs. Set up in CGC Landran in the year 2021, Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC) RISE Association supported by Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, GoI, aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship culture in semi-urban and rural India by mentoring, incubating and supporting startups ideated by entrepreneurs in both semi-urban and rural areas.
Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran, congratulated the team at ACIC RISE Association, for this milestone and for their tireless work to promote entrepreneurial venture of aspiring entrepreneurs and giving wings to their hopes and dream of building successful businesses. They urged them to keep up the good work and astutely utilize the grant for startup development in the region.
