UDHAMPUR, May 7: A delegation of Associated Chambers of Commerce Udhampur held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla and expressed strong resentment over the decision of setting up quarantine centers in Udhampur for the persons from other districts.
They feared that it would cause a threat to the locals due to which the district may face extended lockdown and no business activity even after May 17.
They further explained that because of ongoing lockdown for the last 45 days, the traders were facing threat of huge losses of their stocks and hence the administration should allow them to open shops under a proper scheduled time.
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur assured the ACCI delegation to resolve the issue within a day.
