ACC appoints Kapoor as Judicial Member

JAMMU, Sept 11: The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) today approved appointments of seven Judges and lone Advocate from Jammu and Kashmir as Judicial Members in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
Rohit Kapoor, Senior Advocate of Jammu and Kashmir is the lone Advocate among eight persons who were appointed as Judicial Members in the NCLT. Rest seven were Judges of different States.
The appointments have been made in pay scale of Rs 67,000-79,000 (pre-revised) for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or till attaining the age of 65 years, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
The ACC also approved appointment of 10 Technical Members to the NCLT.
An order issued by the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs said terms and conditions of Members Judicial will be governed by the NCLT (Salary and Allowances and other terms and conditions of services of the President and other Members) Rules, 2015 and its amendments.
“The Member may retain his lien with the parent cadre of Ministry of Department, as the case may be, while holding office for a period not exceeding one year,” the order read.
