ACB produces charge sheet against then Treasury Officer

DODA, Dec 23: Anti-Corruption Bureau has produced charge sheet against then Treasury Officer, Gandoh, Doda, who was caught red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5000 in 2017.
Challan against the accused official, namely Shiv Kumar Sharma of Kwar, District Kishtwar, has been produced before the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Doda, in case FIR number 45/2017, under Section 5(1) (d) r/w Section 5(2) of J&K PC Act and Section 4-A PC Act (Amended-2014), registered against him in P/S VOJ (now ACB).
The accused official was caught red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5000/- for settling pension claims of the complainant.
After completion of the investigation, the case was processed for obtaining Govt sanction from the competent authority and after obtaining the sanction, the case was charge-sheeted in the competent court for judicial determination.
The next date of hearing has been fixed for January 27, 2020.
