JAMMU, July 22: An Air-conditioned Vishwa Jan Toilet Complex at Gangyal Jammu was inaugurated today by Rajesh Jain, president of the Association of Industries, Gangyal.
In light of Swachh Bharat Mission, the funding of this toilet block was given by SICOP and it has been constructed by NGO ‘World Sanitation & Environment’ Jammu branch. Dr P Jha, chairman of the NGO ‘World Sanitation & Environment’ informed that his organization will also maintain and operate the toilet block for 30 years at its own cost. SICOP has nothing to pay for maintenance. The cost of the toilet block is Rs 12.50 lakhs but the cost of Air conditioner is paid by the NGO itself.
The prominent among those, present on the occasion, included Rajan Gupta, (Project Engineer, SICOP) ; Bansi Lal Gupta, Ashok Kr Jain, S B Abrol, Vijay Sharma, Sanjeev Vig and some other eminent industrialists of Gangyal Industrial Estate.
