ABVP protests against filling up all posts of Teachers, Lecturers through promotion

JAMMU, Feb 25: Seeking revocation of SAC and SCERT decision on adjustment of promotes against direct posts of General Line Teachers and Lecturers, ABVP today held a strong protest at Jammu University campus.
They were shouting slogans against the SAC (State Administrative Council) decision in 2018, 2019 and SCERT (State Council for Educational Research and Training), according to which no direct recruitment of General Line teachers and Lecturers will be generated.
The agitating ABVP activists also torched their degrees to lodge their protest against the SAC and SCERTs decision of filing up all posts of Teachers and Lecturers through promotion only.
Mukesh Manhas, State Secretary of ABVP Jammu and Kashmir, addressed the protest demonstration and said that this was totally against the career of the youth of J&K. “We tried to meet the administration regarding the issues but the response was very negative. Now we will meet the administration on road and will negotiate there,” he added.
The State Convener of SHODHJK, Ravail Parihar said that this was not only the issues of unemployed youth but the school education system. “Such kind of policies are responsible for the degradation of educational quality in Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
Ramnik Sharma, State joint secretary ABVP and Saket Singh Rathore also addressed the gathering.
Meanwhile, NSUI leader Vikas Badhoria also urged Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to revoke the controversial SAC order, which is against the educated unemployed youth of J&K.
