JAMMU, Feb 22: To garner support for the UIET students, who are demanding restoration of the Engineering Institute to Jammu University, ABVP today launched a signature campaign throughout the State.
More than 100 campuses of different educational institutions across Jammu region were reached for the purpose of carrying out signature campaign. As per the data submitted by different district units of ABVP, more than 30000 students took part in this signature campaign extending support the students of UIET.
The ABVP will submit these signatures along with memorandum to the Chief Minister through DCs.
Pertinent to mention that ABVP has been actively supporting the UIET students, who are observing indefinite dharna in front of the Jammu University Vice-Chancellor’s secretariat.
They are protesting against the Government decision of taking over control of UIET from Jammu University.
