ABVP demands re-opening of colleges for offline classes

DODA, Jan 16: Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has demanded immediate commencement of offline class work.
Talking to media persons, here today, Anoop Sharma, Convenor District Doda ABVP, appealed to the high education authorities to start offline class work of 1st semester students and also re-open colleges as soon as possible.
Ashwinder Chib, ABVP Doda City Vice President and Ashish Kotwal, ABVP Doda College Member, were also present in the press conference.
Same demand was raised by Shivam Sharma, Secretary ABVP Kishtwar City, who said that many students don’t have smart phones and mobile network connectivity to attend online classes. Therefore, he added offline class work is must, especially for the students of Science courses to prepare for upcoming exams scheduled in February.
“If big political rallies in recently held DDC elections can be conducted, why can’t Jammu university start offline class work for students of the 1st semester who need it the most?” he asked.
