JAMMU, July 21: A delegation of ABVP called on Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoj Dhar and apprised him of the problems being faced by students in JU and its affiliated colleges.
The delegation, led by ABVP State Secretary Deepak Gupta, submitted a memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor, highlighting issues and demands of the students.
The ABVP demanded inter-district bus service by Jammu University, construction of new Hostels for boys and girls, strict adherence of academic calendar, introduction of new courses, like Mass Communication and Social Work, issuance of Smart Cards to all the University students, open elections for the students union of Jammu University, more Photostat kiosks with online printing facility on the campus, developing smart classrooms for every course under RUSA, opening provisional store near Boys Hostel Jammu University Campus, increase in number of seats in Central Library by shifting examination hall from there, Eco Washrooms on the campus, installing more dustbins throughout campus at various places and increase in the number of seats for LLM.
The Vice-Chancellor assured necessary action on all the issues and demands mentioned in the ABVP memorandum.
