JAMMU, Nov 8: Up in arms against alleged callous attitude of the university administration towards their demands, ABVP activists today held a protest demonstration on the campus.
Amidst raising of slogans in support of their demands and carrying placards, the protesting ABVP activists also torched an effigy of the JU administration. They threatened to gherao the university administration if their demanded are not considered.
They were demanding free Wi-fi facility to the students, hostel for all, Wall of Heroes, online printing facility at Jammu University, 24×7 University Canteen facility, bus service for JU students, etc.
The protest was organized in front of the office of Dean Students Welfare, Jammu University. While addressing the gathering, ABVP State secretary Deepak Gupta alleged that the university administration has failed to provide the basic facilities to the students from past few years. He said that ABVP activists are protesting from the last 4 days but there was no action on part of the JU administration.

Shubam Amar, ABVP President of JU, said that university students were being charged for the facilities not extended to them, like Smart Card Fee, Internet Facility etc. University is lingering on the demands and has taken advantage of absence of Students Union but ABVP will take these demands to logical conclusion, he added.
Others, who addressed the protest demonstration, included Abhishek Sharma, Chaitanya Randhawa, ManikRashi, Anoop Singh, Chetan Mangoge, Divyansh Aggarwal, who demanded uniformity in Academic schedule.
Manisha Khanna, Shreya Manhas, Palak and Anmol Bijotra alleged that girl students were facing problem like lack of hostel, sanitation issues, lack of adequate washrooms, etc on the university campus.
