JAMMU, Aug 23: A thief, who was evading his arrest for the past three years landed in the net of Nagrota police.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Nagrota police station conducted a raid in Bakshi Nagar area and nabbed the absconding thief.
The accused has been identified as Rishi Kumar, son of Garib Dass of Bakshi Nagar.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 219/2001 under Section 454 and 380 RPC.
He was evading his arrest for the past three years and warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate Ist Class Jammu.
Further investigation is going on.
Police team from Nagrota police station led by SI Deepak Katoch made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Nagrota Inspector Dileep Singh, SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
