JAMMU, Feb 8: Gharota Police arrested an absconding thief after 14 years.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Gharota led by SHO Inspector Khyati Maan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since 2008.
The arrested accused was identified as Sanjeev Kumar, son of Satpal, a resident of Karwal, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 76/2008 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC with Police Station Gharota.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
