RAMBAN, Feb 3: Khari Police arrested an absconding rapist after 4 years.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Khari conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since 2018.
The accused was identified as Mohammad Ramzan, son of Abdul Aziz of Hanjos Tehsil Khari District Ramban.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 18/2018 under Sections 452 and 376 RPC at Police Station Banihal. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by Court of JMIC Banihal.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The arrest has been made by Incharge Police Post Khari PSI Sweet Singh under the supervision of SHO Banihal Inspector Naeem ul Haq Matoo, SDPO Banihal Nisar Ahmed Khoja and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
