JAMMU, July 28: Kanachack Police arrested an absconding hardcore criminal and a bootlegger.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Kanachack apprehended an absconding hardcore criminal, who was evading his arrest from the past 8 years.
The arrested accused identified as Barkat Ali, son of Saif Ali of Rajpura was booked in warrant under Section 512 CrPC issued by the Munsiff Court Jammu in 2013.
The criminal was produced before the Court in Jammu today.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Kanachack during checking intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AX-9558.
During checking, police team recovered 51 bottles of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Deepak Kumar, son of Thoru Ram of Manyal Brahamna Tehsil Marh District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 109/2021 under Section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
The absconder and bootlegger were arrested by a team from Police Station Kanachack led by SHO Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
