JAMMU, Jan 9: Crime Branch, Jammu has arrested an absconding fraudster, who was involved in various fraud cases.
The accused, namely Parvez Ahmed Mir son of Abdul Rashid Mir of Batote, was wanted in various fraud cases. He had cheated a number of innocent persons and extorted huge money from them on the pretext of providing job and other benefits. He is also involved in cheating and extortion of money to the tune of Rs 5.6 crore from one Raj Kumar Gupta for which case FIR No.110/2013, called as (Trath Gola) is under investigation with Crime Branch Jammu.
The said accused was also challaned in another cheating case i.e case FIR No.36/2015 in which he was absconding and the court had issued warrant against him u/s 512 Cr.PC.
