UDHAMPUR, Aug 6: Police today arrested two bovine smugglers who were absconding for the last six months.
The arrested accused persons have been identified as Ishatyak Ali of Dalwas Batote and Babbi of Karkyal, Reasi. The arrests were made by separate police parties from Police Station Rehmbal and Police Post Tikri.
Meanwhile, Udhampur Police today also arrested two history sheeters who were accused of beating one Kartar Chand of Sambal Udhampur and snatching a mobile phone and cash of Rs 35000 from him.
The arrested history sheeters were identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Raku of Pakhlai, Udhampur and Rahul Paba alias Guna of Paba Gali, Chabutra Bazar Udhampur. Snatched mobile phone and Rs 1500 were recovered from their possession.
