JAMMU, Aug 20: An absconding woman wanted in a theft case surrendered before the court after sustained efforts by the Police in Pacca Danga area here.
Afroza Bano alias Shazana was evading arrest in connection with FIR Number 67 of 2020 registered under Sections 380, 454, and 201 of IPC registered at Police Station Pacca Danga, a police official said.
He said despite repeated searches at her residence, native village, and other hideouts, she remained untraceable, leading to proceedings under section 512 of the CrPC and issuance of non-bailable warrant against her.
Following continuous follow-up, she finally appeared before the court and accordingly, the warrant was recalled, said the police official.
