JAMMU, Dec 23: Miran Sahib police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Marallian and arrested the absconder. He has been identified as Showkat Ali, son of Hasan Mir, a resident of Maralian Sikanderpur.
The accused was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 49/15 under Section 353, 336, 147 and 148 RPC registered with police station Miran Sahib. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Pawan Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
