RAMBAN, Jan 20: Banihal police nabbed an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 6 years.
As per police sources, based on specific leads, a special team from police station Banihal conducted raid at Talab Tillo Jammu and arrested an absconder, who was at large since long.
The accused has been identified as Farooq Ahmed Gujjar, son of Abdul Aziz Gujjar of Talab Tillo, District Jammu.
He was involved in a case registered against him with police station Banihal under FIR Number 119/10 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act. The arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Banihal Inspector Nazir Ahmed Dar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
It is to mention here that Banihal police arrested two absconders yesterday also, who were at large for the last 6 years.
