JAMMU, Sept 6: Police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past four years.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Akhnoor Police Station led by SHO Mahesh Sharma arrested an absconder, who has been identified as Jaffar Iqbal, son of Mohammad Iqbal of Mendhar, district Poonch.
The absconder was involved in a case registered with Akhnoor Police Station under FIR number 95/2009 under Sections 279, 337 and 338 RPC and was evading his arrest since then, he added.
The accused was produced in the Court of Law.
