JAMMU, Mar 5: Akhnoor police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last eight years.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Akhnoor police station laid a naka at Daskal and apprehended the absconder identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Durga Dass of Bhardakalan, tehsil Akhnoor.
The absconder was wanted in a case registered at Akhnoor police station under FIR number 109/2005 under Section 279/337/338 RPC and was evading his arrest since then, spokesman added.
Police party led by SHO Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the direct supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Rayees Mohd Bhat.
