JAMMU, Sept 17: Akhnoor Police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest from the past 9 years.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Hilal Azhar conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since 2012.
The accused was identified as Chain Singh, son of Bala Singh, a resident of Village Udhan Tehsil Budhal District Rajouri.
He was wanted in a case registered in the year 2006 with Police Station Akhnoor. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the Court of JMIC Akhnoor.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
