KATHUA, Mar 29: Ramkot police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Ramkot Police Post conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since October 17, 2014.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Farooq, son of Mohammad Mirza of Dhamma, Tehsil Majalta, District Udhampur.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 41/2009 under Section 279 and 338 RPC with Police Station Billawar.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Ramkot Police Post SI Sumit Magotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Billawar Inspector Vijay Sharma, SDPO Billawar Ravinder Singh, SP Kathua Ramnish Gupta and SSP Kathua Shridhar Patil.
