JAMMU, Oct 23: Jourian police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Jourian Police Post apprehended an absconder, who was at large since long.
The arrested person has been identified as Prabhu Dayal, son of late Isher Singh, a resident of Dhanwal Taroti, Tehsil Jourian District Jammu, at present Kodewala, Tehsil Akhnoor. A Maruti car, which he was driving at the time of arrest, has also been seized.
He was wanted in a case registered with Udhampur Police Station. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the Sub Judge Udhampur.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Jourian Police Post SI Anil Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Shiv Dev Singh, SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
