JAMMU, Sept 19: Gandhi Nagar police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Banny Sotra, son of Pal Sotra of Sheikh Nagar, Bagh-e-Bahu, Jammu.
He was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 43/13 under Sections 341, 323 and 34 RPC with Police Station Gandhi Nagar. Arrest warrant also stands issued against him by Forest Court Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani, Incharge SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
