JAMMU, Oct 13: Sidhra police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, a team from Sidhra Police Post conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since long.
The arrested person has been identified as Abdul Qayoom, son of Muneer Hussain, a resident of district Poonch.
He was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 128/2008 under Section 309 RPC with Police Station Nagrota. Court has already issued arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC against the absconder.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Sidhra Police Post SI Tariq Ahmed made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Nagrota Inspector Bhushan Singh Manhas, SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh Slathia and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
