KATHUA Aug 28: Kathua police has succeeded in arresting an absconder who was evading arrest for last four years from his hideout in village Merpha in Kathua tehsil.
Police said Beat No. 06 officials under Police Station Kathua under the directions of Inspector, Amit Sangra, SHO Police Station, Kathua succeeded in arresting absconder namely Sudershan Kumar Alias Banka S/o Saran Dass R/o Meartha Kathua.
The accused was declared absconder in Police Station Kathua case FIR No 428/2011 U/S 379 RPC on January 22, 2014 by the order of District Mobile Magistrate Kathua. Later he was again declared absconder in FIR No 122/2015 u/s 224 RPC on May 5 this year by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kathua.
