JAMMU, Aug 8: Jhajjar Kotli police arrested an absconder and rescued 2 bovine animals in two separate incidents.
As per police sources, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station led by SHO Ravinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey arrested an absconder, who has been identified as Balbir Kumar, son of Gian Chand of Saketar.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 154/2006 under Section 447/34 RPC with police station Jhajjar Kotli. Warrant also stands issued against the accused by Judicial Magistrate First Class Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Meanwhile, Jhajjar Kotli police laid a naka at Saketar and intercepted a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK02BG-2068.
During checking, police rescued 2 bovine animals, while the accused driver managed to escape from the spot.
A case under FIR Number 87/15 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli and manhunt has been launched to nab the bovine smuggler.
