UDHAMPUR, Nov 24: An absconder, who was involved in a case under NDPS Act and had been evading arrest for the nine years, was apprehended by Kud Police.
The arrested accused, identified as Pankaj Kumar alias Kaku, son of Mulkh Raj of Jib, Udhampur , was involved in case FIR number 131/2013, under section 8/15 NDPS Act at Police Station, Kud. He was evading arrest since 2013 and the court had issued warrant under section 512 Cr PC for his arrest.
On a specific information, a special police team of P/S Kud, headed by SHO Vijay K Thakur, under the supervision of Ahmad Shaafi, SDPO Chenani, arrested the accused from Tikri area and produced him before Sessions Court Udhampur for judicial determination. Court sent the accused to judicial custody till next date of hearing.
