JAMMU, Aug 28: Nagrota police along with District Special Branch (DSB) personnel arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 11 years.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station along with DSB personnel conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since 2017.
The accused has been identified as Ram Paul, son of Kaka Ram, a resident of Village Pehragari, Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu.
He was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 171/2007 under Section 302 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act with Police Station Nagrota. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by Sub Registrar Court Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh Slathia, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
