Abrogation of Art 370 hailed by many organizations

JAMMU, Aug 9: Various political and social organizations welcomed abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A by the Modi-led Central Government and termed it a bold step of the strong Government.
Hailing the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A, Panthers Party block president of Khour, Devinder Singh, demanded the Union Government to setup a commission of acting Supreme Court Judge for enquiry of ROSHNI fraud allegedly done by previous Governments. He also demanded the Centre to declare Jammu as separate state.
All J&K PoJK 1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum Core Committee in a meeting held here today congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their bold step in scrapping of Article 370, 35-A. The committee members hoped that Minority Commission will be extended in J&K along with Anand Marriage Act.
Welcoming the decision, J&K Freedom Fighters’ Association said that a new era of growth both for people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh region has started. Thakur Karnail Chand, general secretary of the Association said that this bold step taken by the Union Government would allow flow of investment into the state, which in turn will help in promoting trade and commerce.
Terming the Centre’s move on Article 370 and 35-A marvelous, All J&K Scheduled Castes Welfare Association said this will lead to further development, progress and prosperity of both the regions of J&K in a balanced manner and progress of Ladakh region as well in the same way.
All Jammu and Kashmir Kashyap Rajput Sabha, while hailing the Centre’s decision, said that first time in the history the people of Jammu and Kashmir are feeling free from the clutches of Kashmir rulers. “Our community suffered badly by Article 370 as 27% reservation at par with Central Government could not be implemented in J&K due to enforcement of this Article,” president of the Sabha, Murari Lal Balgotra said and hoped that their right of 27% reservation will not be denied in near future by Central Government.
