JAMMU, Sept 10: Akhil Bhartiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha (ABMSS) Jammu and Kashmir Zone held its first meeting, here today during which various activities of the Sabha and plans for overall welfare of the Mahajan Biradari were discussed.
President ABMSS J&K Zone, Shiv Pratap Gupta while addressing the meeting mentioned that the Sabha has taken up a number of activities for the welfare of the community including widows and needy persons’ scheme, scholarship to the poor and meritorious students, assistance to economically weaker members of the society, imparting vocational training viz. cutting and tailoring, computer basics and data entry, other professional courses for earning livelihood and marriage bureau.
The ABMSS president further informed that the life membership drive has also been launched, wherein all the nominated office bearers are required to get registered themselves as life members with a contribution of Rs 1100 which will be used for the welfare purposes of the community.
Senior vice-president of ABMSS and current president of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha, Romesh Chander Gupta, in his address, elaborated on various activities of the Sabha and further plans for the overall welfare of the Biradari. He also stressed on creation of modern facilities at local levels of different Mahajan Sabhas in their areas so that the people are benefitted by the available infrastructure.
During the meeting, various speakers expressed their views as per the agenda items point wise and also highlighted achievements and their vision for the future course of action in their respective sabhas. Other prominent personalities spoke in the meeting include patrons Kavinder Gupta, CP Gupta and Harinder Gupta, advisory committee members-Chander Mohan Gupta, Arun Gupta and vice chairman Yash Pal Gupta.
The proceedings of the meeting were conducted jointly by Subhash Chander Gupta (zonal secretary, J&K) and Sanjay Mahajan (zonal secretary, ABMSS).
Publicity secretaries-Mukesh Mahajan and Rajeev Mahajan, Corporators-Anil Masoom and Dinesh Gupta, besides presidents and secretaries of different Mahajan Sabhas and executive members of ABMSS-Dr Mohan Lal Gupta, Balbir Kumar Gupta, Surinder Gupta, Atul Gupta, Prabhu Dayal Gupta, Vipan Gupta, Kulbhushan Gupta (Manu), Inder Pal Gupta, Om Parkash Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, Krishan Gupta, Arun Kumar Gupta, Ram Krishan, Ram Kumar Guppta, Sunil Kumar Gupta, Arvind Gupta (Lovely), Ram Sarup Gupta, Dr Bimal Gupta, Ramesh Gupta, Subhash Jandial, Ashok Gupta, Ravinder Goel, Ashok Gupta (Gaggi), Kamal Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Vijay Gupta and Vinod Gupta attended the meeting.
