ABGP honours individuals, organizations for promoting consumer awareness

JAMMU, May 17: Akhil Bhartiya Grahak Panchayat (ABGP), Jammu prant, organized a grand ceremony at Seva Bharti Sabhagar, Ved Mandir, Jammu, to acknowledge the contribution of individuals and organizations associated with consumer awareness and consumer protection initiatives through advertisements in the ABGP annual magazine “Samarika”.
The programme witnessed participation of social workers, business representatives and members of the organization. The proceedings of the event were conducted by Rajeev Bhardwaj, prant sangathan mantri, Jammu.
During the event, several distinguished personalities and organizations were recognized for their support and contribution towards consumer awareness activities. Those present included Dr Kulbhushan Mohtra (BJP Jammu prant), Dev Rattan Gupta of Gupta Cut Piece Bhandar, Parshotam Abrol of Badri Nath Mandir (New Plot), Pooja Abrol of Coral Pipes, Vandan Trehan associated with Ankur Maitrika Hospital and Sheela Jewellers, Pradeep Sharma (president, Helping Hands), Manish Sabharwal of Vikram Shoes, Vivek Mahajan of BBC IT Services and HC Vaid (President, ABGP Bahu zila).
Addressing the gathering, H C Vaid underlined the importance of strengthening consumer awareness and increasing public participation in consumer protection initiatives.
At the conclusion of the programme, Thakur Das Sharma (prant sdhyaksh) highlighted the importance of continued cooperation and collective efforts for further strengthening the consumer movement and expanding awareness activities across the region.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment towards promoting consumer rights awareness and enhancing outreach activities in different parts of Jammu region.
