JAMMU, Sept 5: Police today rescued an abducted minor girl and arrested the alleged kidnapper from Ramban district.
Police spokesman said that, a 17-year-old girl was kidnapped from Dalwah area of the same district on July 30.
Acting on a tip-off, the police team raided the location in Dharamkund area and rescued the girl, he said, adding that the accused Tanveer Ahmed, son of Nazir Ahmed Najar of Kantha Morh, tehsil and district Ramban was also arrested.
The girl was later handed over to her family members after medical examination, while, further investigation into the case are on.
