JAMMU, Aug 21: Police rescued an abducted girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, family members of a girl lodged a complaint with Police Station Akhnoor stating that their minor daughter has been kidnapped.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 121/2020 under section 363 IPC was registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Akhnoor Police Station recovered the minor girl from Rathian area of Udhampur District and arrested the abductor, who was identified as Sunil Sharma, son of Ram Lal of Raja Chak Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma and assisted by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pardeep Sharma rescued the girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SP Rural Suram Singh and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
