JAMMU, Apr 19: Bagh-e-Bahu police rescued an abducted minor girl from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh (UP).
As per police sources, family members of a minor girl hailing from Qasim Nagar area lodged a complaint with police station Bagh-e-Bahu stating that their minor daughter has been kidnapped.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 38/16 under Section 363 RPC was registered at Bagh-e-Bahu police station and manhunt was launched to recover the minor girl and arrest the accused.
On specific inputs, a team from Bagh-e-Bahu police station conducted raid in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and rescued the kidnapped minor girl. However, the accused kidnapper managed to escape from the spot.
The girl was brought to Jammu and after completing legal formalities, she has been handed over to family members.
Manhunt is going on to nab the accused kidnapper.
Police team led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu police station Inspector Vijay Choudhary rescued the abducted minor girl under the supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
