JAMMU, Apr 17: As a step forward in the direction of providing state-of-the-art facilities to the tax payers, passenger lift and Aayakar Sewa Kendra were formally inaugurated in Income Tax Office today.
In an exceptional move, the honour of inauguration was given to Waris Masih, the senior most Safai Karamchari along with Arjun Singh, the senior most TA in the office. They were also joined by S L Mahajan, the senior most advocate.
On the occasion, A K Thatai, Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K Circle, B B Singh, Commissioner (Appeals), R K Kakar, Joint Commissioner, Rakesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax (Hqrs), Rajiv Gubgotra, Assistant Director (Investigation) and all other ITOs were present.
The prominent advocates R K Dogra, S Mehta, V Grover and Rattan Lal Gupta and Chartered Accountants Pardeep Gandotra and Joginder Singh also attended the function.
