‘AAP will turn Srinagar into model city’

SRINAGAR, Apr 9: Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Srinagar Parliamentary constituency Raja Muzaffar Bhat today said that wrong policies of the National Conference (NC) led Government has turned Srinagar city into a cesspool and it lacks basic facilities like drainage and power.
Bhat said that if people from Srinagar city votes for AAP in the upcoming Parliamentary elections, he will ensure that Srinagar would be transformed into a model city by protecting its heritage character.
“If I am given a chance to represent the people of Srinagar in the Parliament, I assure city people that Srinagar city would be one of the model cities in India with all modern facilities available without damaging the heritage character,” he said.
He said that since last couple of months, Srinagar city has been completely waterlogged at majority of places and the reason is that there is no proper drainage mechanism available in the city.
Bhat said the UPA lead Government at Center was also very much responsible for the mess in Srinagar as they have failed check whether the funds provided by them have been properly utilized or not in the city.
