JAMMU, Dec 30: While expressing concern over acute shortage of Corona virus booster doses in Jammu and Kashmir, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has castigated Jammu and Kashmir LG administration for non serious approach towards prevailing threat of COVID19 fourth wave putting life of people in risk.
Aam Aadmi Party’s Kashmir province, vice president, Nazir Ahmed Yatoo made a statement over the issue and said that serious approach is urgent need of hour to remain prepared for prevailing threat of fourth wave of Corona virus which has already shown its large scale disastrous affect in countries like China.
“Recently we have seen that Government of India is on serious concern note towards COVID19 threat and even Prime Minister Office made appeals for prevention but the level of this seriousness has not penetrated down the line in Jammu and Kashmir.” said Yatoo.
He added, “ Jammu and Kashmir Government is clearly insensitive towards prevention of COVID19 wave and this can be gauged from the emergent situation that booster doses have dried up across Jammu and Kashmir and there is no effort from Government to refill the stock of doses.”
Yatoo said that vaccination plays important role in prevention against COVID19 but unavailability of vaccine booster doses is a serious issue which not only shows non serious approach of J&K Government but shows that how Government is insensitive towards life of citizens.
Yattoo asked J&K LG administration to intervene in the matter and to ensure that booster doses remain available in adequate stock so that vaccination process remains continue in full pace.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir has already witnessed large scale losses of previous human lives in earlier waves of COVID19 pandemic and there is need to remain extra cautious but Government’s preparations are unsatisfactory.
“Vaccination is basic tool to remain fully prepared to tackle the pandemic wave but unavailability of booster doses is a serious concern that needs to be dealt with serious approach.” he further said.
