Aanila Charak gets Harishanker Parsai Samman

JAMMU, Nov 27: Dr Aanila Singh Charak, a renowned satiric poetess and Gazal writer, has been conferred with Harishanker Parsai Samman for her extensive contribution to the field of literature and specifically for her book Mask Ke Peeche Kya Hai (satire).
Mask Ke Peeche Kya Hai was considered as the book at all India level by Maharashtra Sahitya Academy and Ahsas, a literary organization in Indore.
During the function in this occasion at Amarvati in Maharashtra, about 17 writers of all India level were honored. A grand poetic meet was also organised wherein Anila recited her Ghazal. She was honored with a shawl, cash prize and memento by the chief guest.
Anila has also won laurels in the field of art and sports. Her many painting exhibition have been organised at national and international level. She had also won applause by playing cricket at national level. She is also the recipient of best book award for her book Nange Paanv Zindagi ( a collection of poems) by Sahitya Academy Jammu Kashmir.
