RAJOURI, Apr 15: Ex-Police Personnel Welfare League has appealed the Director General of Police to ensure financial assistance to retired cops who are suffering from various diseases and need treatment.
The demand was made during a meeting of the League’s Rajouri unit, held under the chairmanship of district president O P Sharma (Retd Inspector) and attended by a number of retired Police personnel.
The meet also discussed some other problem being faced by the retired Police personnel and demanded that unemployed kin of cops should be preferred in Police recruitment.
The League also decided to approach the DGP for apprising him of the demands and grievances of retired cops.
