JAMMU, June 19: In an incident of lightning 16 persons of a marriage party including the women and children received burn injuries and shock at far flung village Koti Chadyar in Tehsil Bani of Kathua district today. All the injured person are under going treatment at PHC Chandyar.
The incident took place when they were busy in marriage function at village Koti Chandyar and suddenly there was heavy rainfall and lightning. In the lightning 16 people were injured. They were shifted to nearby PHC. All the injured persons were put on floor and doctor gave the treatment whatever he had.
The Sarpanch of Koti Chandyar Abida Bano narrated about the incident. She alleged that all the injured people are under treatment at PHC Chandyar . But the condition of the PHC is itself very bad. There is only one room for patients and doctor with only one bed and all the injured are lying on the floor in such bad weather and Corona threat. The condition of all injured people is out of danger.
