MENDHAR, June 17: With the burning of transformer in Panchayat Mardan Shah, Ari village in Mendhar area of Poonch district the people are without power for the last many days.
People of the area who are facing lot of difficulties due to non availability of light during these days covid-19 epidemic, villagers are repeatedly approaching the senior PDD officers but are feeling helpless.
Local residents Rashid Ahmed, Dalwar Ahmed, Dilpeezer Ahmed and Ghulam Qader said that PDD officials have not given proper attention to their problem and they are being forced to agitate and block the road.
The villagers appealed to the Chief Engineer PDD and Executive Engineer Poonch to issue instructions to PDD staff to immediately replace the burnt transformers and provide relief to the consumers.
