JAMMU, June 17: Former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today slammed BJP Govt for celebrating the failures of the Modi Government on all fronts, when the whole country is going through very serious problems of COVID-19 crisis and tense position on China and Pak borders.
In a press statement here Bhalla said that the BJP in fact, is celebrating the failures of his Government. He alleged that the BJP’s proxy Government in Jammu and Kashmir has become a “non-performing liability” and said the administration must come out of deep slumber to infuse responsiveness and accountability in order to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
“The people of Jammu are experiencing difficulties due to the shortage of electricity, erratic water supply and scarcity of ration. The people have to struggle hard to get their basic amenities because the BJP dispensation is not paying due attention towards essential services such as road connectivity, providing ration to the people, health care, and water and electricity supplies,” he added.
Former Minister said the BJP Government is not good for Jammu and Kashmir as it has harmed more than doing any good to sensitive J&K. He alleged that the BJP has failed to manage the internal and external security of the country in its six years at the Centre.BJP is trying to delude people by spreading misleading information and its claims that it has control over terrorism in the country is “far from reality”, he alleged
“In the last six years, the BJP Government’s ignorance to internal and external security issues has resulted in rise in terror incidents. Chaos has become dominant and the situation is beyond control in Jammu and Kashmir and terror incidents claiming lives of Army jawans,” he said.
Even during the COVID-19 crisis, ruthlessly BJP Govt has been trying to hide facts and continue to do so. There is unjust even while distributing ration to people.
Meanwhile, taking stock of the present political situation in J&K and accumulating problems being faced by the people at large due to abject failure of the BJP Government at Nanak Nagar today, Bhalla said people of the J&K are fed up with this Government which has done nothing for the public except making hollow promises.”Government in J&K has failed on front of deliverance despite making lofty promises”, he said, adding, Congress alone can steer Jammu and Kashmir from the present mess and ensure agenda of peace, progress and development.
