JAMMU, June 15: Government today constituted an Apex Level Advisory Committee on treatment protocols and related medical issues for COVID patients.
According to the order, Dr Mohd Sultan Kharoo, former Director SKIMS, Soura/Vice Chairman, Apex Selection Committee, SKIMS will act as chairman of the committee while Dr Rahul Gupta (Prof & Head, Chest Diseases, GMC Jammu) will be member secretary of the committee.
Besides, Dr A G Ahangar (Director/Ex-Officio Secretary, SKIMS), Principal, Government Medical College Jammu/ Srinagar, Dr Rajinder Singh (Former Prof & Head, Chest Diseases and former Principal, GMC Jammu), Dr Javid Malik (Head, Pulmonary Medicine, SKIMS Medical College, Bemina Srinagar), Dr Anil Sharma (Prof & Head, Department of Medicine, GMC Jammu), Dr Naveed Nazir (Prof & Head, Chest & Diseases, GMC Srinagar), Dr Aijaz Nabi Koul (Additional Professor, General Medicine & Head, Infectious Disease Unit, SKIMS Soura, Srinagar) and Dr Simriti Gulati (Prof & Head, Department of Anesthesiology, GMC Jammu) will be members of the committee.
The Committee shall review the protocol/guidelines and other related issues regarding treatment of COVID patients, measures to be taken to control COVID Pandemic and other related matters and accordingly advise the Government on these issues.
