JAMMU, June 12: Police have arrested a person for abetting the suicide of a girl whom he blackmailed for many months.
As per police sources, few days back a girl namely Manisha Kumari committed suicide in RS Pura and Police while taking cognizance lodged an FIR Number 97/2020 under Section 306 IPC at Police Station RS Pura after a written complaint was filed.
After proper investigation and working on different angles technically and with the circumstantial evidences, RS Police cracked the motive behind the extreme step taken by girl.
One accused person namely Ravi Kumar, son of Tilak Raj, a resident of Magowali tehsil Suchetgarh District Jammu got arrested. Ravi used to harass the girl both mentally and physically.
A special technical team of RS Pura Police has got some voice, video recordings and CDRs in this context after electronic gadgets of various persons linked were scanned which have a connecting evidentiary value in this case.
Police also searched the house where some important evidences were seized.
A special team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma and SIs Tarun and Raghav unfolded the mystery behind the suicide under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir khan, SP Headquarters Jammu Aadil Hamid and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
