Kathua police recovers 52 stolen mobile phone

KATHUA, June 12: Kathua police has recovered 52 mobile phones which were stolen in the district during last some months.
This was disclosed by SSP Kathua, Shailender Kumar Mishra while talking to reporters here, today. He said earlier there was a conception that police does not take the mobile thefts seriously and despite lodging the FIRs mobile phones were not being recovered by the police.

He said that after registering of FIRs Kathua Police took a challenge and constituted Special Task Force of its IT Cell and given a time frame of 15 days to it in recovering all the mobile phones. He said after the investigation in the matter police succeeded in recovering all the mobile phones and they will be returned to their owners soon.
The SSP Kathua said that the owners of mobile phone had registered their complaints with police about missing of their mobile. The IT cell of police put the such phone’s on surveillance and succeed in recovery of more than 50 mobile phones, he added.
He said they were recovered within the UT of J&K and no person has been so far arrested.
